At long last.

I thought this time would never come. My wonky log cabin quilt is only lap size but the quilting seemed to go on forever. Today I sewed the binding on and yes I know it's not basted or pinned on first but this method works for me. Now to hand sew the binding to the back.

Bye for now, Maria.

Hi Maria,
I agree, it's often easiest just to sew the binding as you go. Can I ask, have you done the wiggly quilting yourself? It looks like your machine is like mine so I wonder which foot do you use? Also, I know traditionally, you start quilting in the middle and work your way out. Do you still do this with this sort of wiggly free motion quilting? Many thanks, quilting novice here!

I think we use whatever methods work best for us. It's so satisfying when our project is all finished. You're almost there.

I do my binding like that too and I have never had a problem.

Gorgeous colours Maria, I don't pin or baste either. It works for me.

I sew my binding on in exactly the same manner. Looks like a pretty quilt. Look forward to the "Ta-Da" picture when it is done.

This is such a fabulous pic of your pretty quilt & your Bernina! Love the way the sunshine is "spotlighting" everything!
